CHILDREN’S BOOKS ILLUSTRATION
On this website you will find a sample of some of my most relevant work in illustration for Children's Books, Young Readers and Picture Books, as well as Textbooks and Educational books. My work is mainly digital, but I feel equally comfortable with classic techniques such as pencil, ink, watercolour or painting. ABOUT ME
Born at the base of the Pyrenees, I grew up surrounded by colours, books and comics. As a child and teenager, drawing was the most natural way of reflecting what I saw and felt, and it still is as an adult.
Eventually I left behind the mountains and piles of folders full of drawings to continue my creative training.
After a few years in the world of art education, I decided to take the leap into illustration, which welcomed me with open arms and, although I have been working in it for more than fifteen years now, I feel that I still have a lot to do and a lot to learn!

Some tales are special, they have a light of their own that always invites us to return to them. The Mountain Makers is one of those tales. The story, constructed with true narrative ingenuity, is accompanied by powerful and brilliant illustrations. The result of combining Alberto Pérez's words with Jorge del Corral's strokes is extraordinary.

With his pencil and his sensitivity, del Corral knows how to maintain the lyricism and sensitivity conveyed by Molist's words, in a very successful symbiosis between drawing with a personal style and artistic photography.

I also celebrate that Barcanova has decided to accompany these pages with illustrations by Jorge del Corral, I love his style, sweet and fun, without falling into cheesiness.
